The American Music Awards Featured performances by Beyonce, Jay-Z, Gwen Stefani, Mary J. Blige, Nelly Furtado and the Pussycat Dolls, The Black Eye Peas Won three awards They were named  favorite group twice, in the rap/hip hop and soul/rhythm & blues categories. They also won favorite rap/hip-hop album for “Monkey Business.”  Mary J. Blige won two awards for favorite soul/rhythm & blues album for “The Breakthrough.” She was also the favorite female R&B artist; she was presented her award by surprise guest presenter Britney Spears. Jamie Foxx was named favorite male soul/rhythm & blues artist. Eminem was favorite male rap/hip-hop artist. Shakira won favorite Latin artist. Lionel Richie made a surprise return to the awards to perform his 80’s hit All Night Long; He was Introduced by his Daughter Nicole Richie; who is looking a lot better these days, you can check out the pictures from the awards below.
