According to the Mirror, Mel insisted that Eddie Murphy is the daddy and now a full-scale legal battle with Mel B looks imminent.
The former Spice Girl has put the actor’s name on Fortuna Daphne Bay’s birth certificate. And she’s adamant that a DNA test will prove that the 46-year-old Dreamgirls star is her new baby’s dad.
A source said: “Mel has no doubt Eddie is the father and she wanted to make the point. “However, even though Scary’s hired a ridiculously expensive lawyer, friends say she doesn’t want Murphy to have any part in her baby’s life.
