So allegedly Mary has been taking cheap shots at her counter parts Beyonce and Mariah Carey by saying, “I’m not going to chase what (mainstream) fans like. It might work for a Mariah. It might work for a Beyonce. But Mary J. Blige is looked at as some sort of organic thing.” I like mary but that was so uncalled for, she needs to reload with a new wig and come back again.

I heard about that too. Damn, I thought she had grown past the point in which she felt the need to disrespect other artists. Other people said she disrespected Ashanti when she first came out too. Thats wrong. I like Mary J.Blige too. When others called her a ghetto hoodrat I stood up for her because she’s been through everything under the golden sun. She survived child molestation, rape, abusive relationships, witnessing abuse as a young girl, drug use and being an alchohalic. Very few women on God’s green Earth can live to speak of such thngs. I like her but I hope she’ll grow past disrespecting others for her own personal ego.

Its sad that she really thinks she has to go there, still as you said she has come a long way and i wouldn’t associated her with the term hoodrat. because she is grown and class these days, but those comment sound a little envious.
