Rihanna is featured in the January issue of “Allure” magazine she discusses her influential hairstyle, not dating Josh Hartnett, and thoughts on Beyonce Knowles.
On rumours that she hooked up with Josh Hartnett: “This is what really happened. He and my management, they have each other’s contact information. I went to (the New York club) Pink Elephant, and he came by. All of a sudden, the next day, I’m seeing that we were kissing and hugging up each other. You can’t even go out with a friend who’s a celebrity and have a good time without people making (bleep) up. Well, at least he’s good-looking, right?â€
On Beyonce: “She’s Beyonce, and I’m (his) new protegee. When we see each other we say hi. We’re not enemies, but we’re not ‘friends’ friends.â€
On her edgy new ‘do: “The label didn’t want me to do this look. But cutting my hair, it made me stand out as an artist. I don’t care who likes it — this is me.â€
On being bullied at school for being too ‘white’: “I was a little confused as a kid because I grew up with my mum, and my mum is black. So I was cultured in a very ‘black’ way. But when I go to school, I’m getting called ‘white’. They would look at me and would curse me out. I didn’t understand. I just knew I saw people of all different shades and I was light. Now I’m in a much bigger world.â€

I have to say that I am too bullied at school for many reasons including indivisuals calling me “too white” because of my use of proper grammer and my respectful and heart-warming attitude. Which is totally ignorant of their own culture/”race”.
But on the other hand I am of Jamaican descent so I have Irish, Spanish, Chorkee, Native-Jamaican, Indian, and esp. Asain blood. I was born looking just like a full Chinese or Japanese person (which is located on my maternal mother’s side) and now I look like a light to medium brown skinned Indian girl (which is on my “father’s” side). So genes are pretty weird. Race is a mythocal construct that was invented to serve the Europeon “whites” egos. Race is just the phsycal. It was never proven scientifically and has nothing to do with emotional, mental, and spiritual growth. Even a “white”scientist who declared blacks the stupidest race was found to have 16% of DNA belonging to someone of African descent. Look at Mariah Carey, Tiger Woods and alot of other bi-racial and non-biracial persons and you’ll come to the same conclusion I have.

I am not sure what’s going on between her and Josh Harnett. Alot of Bassip readers were getting on her for that comment about J and B. When months ago everyone says Rih was “kissing Beyonce’s ass”. They said she she said they were close friends and joked about the rumor. But know when she is more known she recants her older statements. Some say she’s phony and in conflict with Ciara over the tour beacuse alot of people came to see Ci Ci, not her, and that Ci’s preformances are better. I am not sure what to believe.

Who ever would look at this girl, whom by the way was much darker when she came out, and say she is “white” or looks “white” is a complete dumbass. This girl was darker than me and I do not look “white”. She looks like a lighter-toned “black” girl to me. Not even “mixed”.

Wow serious in todays society its hard to believe some of the stuff the media say, even though sometimes these artist will say and do stuff to keep the spotlight on them. On more than one Occasions she has been seen with Josh Harnett, so people come to the conclusion she must be dating him. plus like with beyonce she denied for years that she was dating jay-z. so you can not believe whatever these celebrity say when they want to keep a relationship on the downlow.
