Fefe Dobson was out years before Rihanna ever was. Fefe Dobson was also signed to Def Jam Island the same record label as Rihanna. The same time Fefe was dropped was the same time that “Rihanna’s New Look” came about. As you can see it’s all the label’s making. But Rih Rih stated that she was oringinal and all the other girls were copycats.

Fefe was around waaaaaaaay before Rhianna! Fefe been had that style since she first was introduced…just look at old music vids of her or pics. Rhianna copied but that could be considered to be the greatest form of flattery…

I remember when Fefe Dobson came out and she didn’t turn all punk-like until she left the record company. And the only reason why i know this is because I was waiting for her new album to come out (I thought her new style was so cool) at the time, but it never was released. I think Rihanna was influence a bit by Fefe but I don’t think she went all the way and copied her.
As for those stupid star tattoos, everyone has them now. Its just like the star tattoo on the wrist tattoo that everyone and their momma has now.
i dont really know what the truth really is. i mean, if u think about the time frame in which Fefe was dropped and Rihanna’s style changed, it could be assumed that Fefe influenced it….i mean, they WERE on the same label so it’s not impossible that they saw each other and “someone” got influenced…
anywho, i’ve always liked Fefe and wish that she comes back with a really smashing cd so people can remember why they loved her before….but i’m not sold on Rihanna’s style being mere coincidence..

Rihanna took Fefe’s style. Her change was way too dramatic.Long,light hair to short,dark hair, light clothes to all black all the time, sweet to “all of a sudden I don’t care anymore.” And she didn’t have any tattoos.
Even if she didn’t take Fefe’s style, she surely took Kelis’ style. Kelis had that hairstyle in her bossy video and Rihanna just got it like, after the Umbrella video. Kelis always dressed wacky and wore neon colored nail polish, if you look at Rihanna’s old vids and pics, it looks like she wore fake nails and when she didn’t wear them they weren’t neon or black. Her style was similar to Beyonce’s. I heard thats why she changed but she’s a poser and she seems full of herself.

Def Jam dropped Fefe because they wanted to change her into a Britney Spears. Fefe didn’t feel it and left. Rihanna was doing her girly reggae image at this time. After she Fefe left Def Jam, Rihanna’s image started to changed into Fefe looks.
