The Secret Life Of Bees Premiere at the 2008 Toronto International Film Festival on friday.
Plot
Set in South Carolina in 1964, the film is the moving tale of Lily Owens(Dakota Fanning) a 14 year-old girl who is haunted by the memory of her late mother. To escape her lonely life and troubled relationship with her father, Lily flees with Rosaleen(Jennifer Hudson), her caregiver and only friend, to a South Carolina town that holds the secret to her mother’s past. Taken in by the intelligent and independent Boatwright sisters(Alicia Keys, Queen Latifah, Sophie Okonedo), Lily finds solace in their mesmerizing world of beekeeping, honey and the Black Madonna. the movie also stars Nate Parker and Tristian Wilds.

yes it sounds like some documentary about bee keeping. but it seems like a really good movie that i will be adding to my dvd collection, which only have two dvd at the moment(one if you consider how crap idlewild is) don’t know what i was think when i got that one.

LMAO!!! Everyone said that movie was crappy. I think I’ll see this new movie though. I got about 200 cassettes and like 6 DVDs. I make sure to check reviews before I see this movie.

lol well yeah its a old ass movie i should have check the review, i also have ATL which i have watched a few times, and i love it. this one i will defiantly have to get on dvd.

The Secret Life of Bees started as a novel by Sue Monk Kid!
It was a cute book but the movie looks even better!!
Another good book to read that is coming out soon on film is The Time Traveller’s Wife by Anne Niffenegger. SOOOO good!!! and the movie is supposed to feature Rachel McAdams! Go Canada! Seriously should read this book tho … really great.. !!
