The 2008 American Music Awards finally went down at Nokia Theatre L.A. last night. Chris Brown collected three awards including Artist of the Year and Favourite R&B Male. Singer Rihanna won the Pop/Rock Female Artist award; Rapper Kanye West won the Best Male Hip Hop Artist award and stole the show with his acceptance speech. This is what he had to say
“I wake up every morning thinking, ‘What stereotypes do I wanna break,’” he said. “It’s up to artists to push one another. We’ll push each other to be the new Beatles, the new Hendrix…I wanna be Elvis.” I thought beyonce and her old ragged ass put a ring on it clove was over with, but instead she came back with a metal finger SMH. It seems both rihanna and beyonce was competing for the weirdest accessory as rihanna made an entrance with an eye patch SMH again.
