
At the 17th Annual Trumpet Awards this past Sunday in Atlanta, two St. Louis icons were honored for excellence and trailblazing efforts in their respective life’s work.
Local Mogul Michael V. Roberts received the award for his contributions in the field of business, while Clay was inducted into the Walk of Fame for his stellar political career as a U.S. Congressman. Clay was one of 13 new footprints in the International Civil Rights Walk of Fame at the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historic Site in Atlanta.Also honored were actress Raven-Symone, television executive Johnathan Rodgers, the Rev. Paula White, Atlanta native and actor Chris Tucker, and the Tuskegee Airmen, the elite corps of black pilots and ground crew who fought in World War II.
