2009 American Music Awards
The 2009 American Music Awards kicked off at the NOKIA Theatre in L.A on Sunday (Nov. 22) Rihanna, Shakira, Black Eyed Peas, Toni Braxton, Drake, 50 Cent, Ne-Yo, Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige, Leona Lewis, Keri Hilson, Snoop Dogg, and more hit the red carpet. we saw performances from Rihanna, Timbaland, Jay-z ,the black eye peas and Jlo aka Jennifer Lopez. Overall it was a good award show with really good performance and thank god no interruption.
Michael Jackson won four AMAs, setting a record for the most wins by any single artist and nabbing Favorite Pop/Rock Album from Swift. The late singer won Favorite Male Artist in both the Pop/Rock and Soul/R&B categories, as well as Favorite Album in the Pop/Rock and Soul/R&B categories for ‘Number Ones.’ Jackson’s brother Jermaine accepted the awards on his behalf.
