A Judge has allegedly ordered Kelis’ soon to be ex husband, rapper Nas, to pay the singer $55,000 month in combined spousal and child support.  In addition, Nas must pay the mortgage on the couple’s L.A residence, Kelis’ lawyer’s fees of $35,000, as well as various expenses related to their newborn. Hot damn, that’s a lot of money Nas has to be paying out, didn’t know he had that much cheese.

Singer Kelis gave birth to her first child a son yesterday July 21 2009. Allegedly the singer didn’t allow soon to be ex husband Nas witness the birth:

The Nas-Kelis Divorce Battle is about to get grrimey.

We hear the iconic MC is urging a California divorce judge to deny estranged wife Kelis’ request for spousal support as the former couple prepare for the birth of a first child.

The “Milkshake” hitmaker — who is seven months pregnant with the couple’s first son — rocked the hip-hop world filed papers on 30 April (09), citing “irreconcilable differences” after almost six years of marriage. Read the rest of this entry »

According to mtv One of hip-hop’s premiere couples is reportedly splitting: Kelis has filed for divorce from Nas, She is seven months’ pregnant with the couple’s first child.

“I can confirm that she has filed for divorce,” a spokesperson for kelis rogers reportedly told the site on Thursday (April 30). “We request the media to respect her privacy during this very difficult time.”

On Thursday afternoon, attorney Laura Wasser (who has also represented Britney Spears) filed a divorce petition on behalf of Kelis, citing irreconciable differences. Vibe.com posted the petition on its site.
