So finally we are hearing how jay-z felt about lil mama crashing his MTV video music award performance of empire state of mind.

“I would never do that. I would never have the nerve to do that. We go to rehearsals, we do run-throughs, and we work really hard on the performance to put on a show for people. And to interrupt that moment for us, I don’t think that was the right thing to do.

I actually thought it was the equivalent of what Kanye did to Taylor Swift but nobody really talked about that because I’m not a lil sweet girl from middle America.

I’m cool with her being excited and all that, but you also have to understand people put in work to make that performance happen–the planning of it, there’s a lot of planning that went into that performance. To disrupt that is out of line.

“…To be honest, I was a little angry–but what imma do, fight Lil mama?”

Lil Mama wants people to know she’s a proud New Yorker, and when the “Lip Gloss” rapper saw two of the Big Apple’s brightest stars onstage during the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, her hometown pride momentarily got the best of her. Mama walked onstage uninvited during Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ performance of “Empire State of Mind.” Her intent was to root Jay-Z on, not disrupt the production, the Brooklyn native said.

“I’m sitting in my seat two rows away from the stage, and Jay-Z is walking through this tunnel and just, like, this adrenaline rush is pumping [through me],” Lil Mama explained to MTV News on Tuesday (September 15). “He started [rapping], and Alicia Keys is going, ‘The big lights will inspire you,’ and really, I got emotional. Yeah, New York! Jay! I started to feel him, and I started to feel myself. I just felt the energy, and I got up and started walking to the stage. I was just rooting him on as a champion. Bigging up my borough, bigging up my brother.”

Beyoncé, Lil Wayne, and T.I. lead the nominations for the BET Awards 2009. Beyonc and lil wayne both receive five nomination each. They followed by Keri Hilson and T-Pain with four each while Rihanna, Kanye West, Jamie Foxx, and Jazmine Sullivan each receive three nominations. Actor/Singer Jamie fox will be hosting this years awards show, with entertainment coming from the usual suspects Beyoncé, and Ne-Yo. The event will be aired live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on Sunday, June 28, at 8 p.m. EST/PST. I have a feeling this will be another weak award show, i wish it could be another amazing show but, look at the best female rapper category there is  only three nominations,  i would just give it to MIA she is the only one who has a recent hit collaboration.
